Mr. Barrington Whyte

Mr. Barrington Whyte has over 30 years experience in economic research, banking and finance. He joined the credit Union as General Manager in 1994.
Prior to the Credit Union he held positions as general manager Eagle Permanent Building Society; Manager Corporate Loans, Eagle Merchant Bank; Deputy Executive Director, National Development Foundation of Jamaica; Deputy Director, Mortgage Operations, National Housing Trust; Senior Research Officer, Building Societies Association of Jamaica; Head, Marketing Division, Small Enterprise Development Corporation; Research Officer, National Saving Committee.
Mr. Whyte is a graduate of Glenmuir High School and the University of the West Indies where he obtained degrees of Master of Business Administration (MBA); Diploma – Management Studies and B.A. (General Studies).
Mr. Whyte has been called upon to serve at the leadership level in local and international organizations. He currently serves as Hon. Treasurer, Bible Society of the West Indies; Member of the United Bible Society (UBS), Area Board of the Americas and Global Board; Director, Jamaica Co-Operative Credit Union League; Chairman of the Board of Directors, NUCS-Co-Operative Insurance Services; Secretary of the Board of Directors, QNET Co-operative Society Limited, Director, Credit Union Fund Management Company (CUFMC); Director and Past President, Jamaica Association of Credit Union Managers (JACCUM). He is also past Chairman, United Cooperatives Printers Limited; Past Director, Jamaica Securities Dealers Association; Past Director, Small Business Association; Past treasurer and Deacon of Tarrant Baptist Church; Past Director and Treasurer, TBC Radio and Distinguished President & Charter Secretary, Kiwanis Club of Liguanea.
